Benefits
Dance Currents Inc has organized three full-scale fundraisers: Bridging the Gulf, October, 2006 for victims of hurricane Katrina, The Haiku Project, 2012 for the relief of victims of the Great Earthquake in Japan and Next Steps, January 26, 2014 for Green Street Studios. We have participated in an Oxfam fundraiser for Tsunami victims in 2005, and for five years have participated in Dance for World Community at Jose Mateo Studio in Cambridge, exploring the power of Dance to create Social Change (June 2009 - 2013).
“Thank you for yet another delightful evening of dancing ...I especially appreciate your incorporating the Afrian-American theme into your pieces. You put much thought and preparation into the program.”
— Mary Jude Donabedian, Children's Hospital.
